Retrofit Ralaflex Locking System

The instruction is for retrofitting locking system in Ralaflex access chambers

Note! If the owner of the facility applies a unique locking system the product above should be replaced with the corresponding customer unique locking device

Tools needed

Tool key for Ralaflex Locking System – art nr 1104046

Note! If the owner of the facility applies a unique locking system the owner need to be contacted for access to a corresponding customer unique tool key.

Lift tool, Cast iron cover and frame, hinged – art nr 7000003

Lockingdevice Ralaflex Locking System Retrofit includes

  • 1 x lock hook
  • 1 x locking bolt
  • 1 x locknut  M20
  • 1 x locknut M10
  • 4 x washers M20
  • 2 x washers M10
  • 1 x spring

Retrofit Ralaflex Locking System

1.Open lid 1 and place it in secure open position
2.Mount locking bolt with 1 washer
3.Use tool key and rotate to open position. Fix the tool key in open position.

4.If the tool key does not reach all the way one extra washer can be added on the key side
5.With the tool key fitted 2 washers and locknut M20
6.Block key size 30 is used tighten the M20 locknut

7.Hold the bolt with the tool key and tighten the M20 locknut. Do not tighten to hard for the lock bolt to rotate easy enough with the spring
8.Mount the spring. It should be outside the M20 locknut.
9.Fit the lock hook

10.Mount the spring around the lock hook
11.Add a washer inside a M10 locknut outside of the lock hook. Block key size 17 is used to tighten the locknut M10
12.Hold the lockning bolt with the tool key and tighten the M10 locknut

13.Mount the tool key with the always-open latch and close the cover

Self-check of lock function

Check the function of the lock by closing the cover and take the tool key out. The try to open the cover with the lifting tool.

The lock shall rotate safely holds the cover in place. If the lock does not rotate the M20 locknut has to be loosened so the lock rotates by the force of the spring.
